It's been a long time since last but....
lot's of things going on.
In May 2006, Rockit Factory got asked to run the marketing for the only dedicated rock club in Gloucestershire. The club is called The Night Owl and is situated in the center of Cheltenham. I am appointed Marketing Manager for the club, running the website, creating flyers, adverts and posters and helping out taking care of the bands playing at the club.
The Night Owl is now the 4th most influential club in UK in it's genre. Starting September 12 Star FM in Chelttenham start broadcasting The Night Owl Rock Show, hosted by Tim Oakes who used to write for Guitarist Magazine.
May also saw the release of Saga's album Trust. I was in the Metal Works studio during the mixing process. I also set the running order of the songs on the CD.
In November a quick visit to Music Live in Birmingham was penciled in. The day trip turned in to a weekend of R&R. Hanging out with the guys from PRS Guitars, Gary and Greg Grainger, Johnny Hiland et al. Sitting in the bar at the Hilton with Frank Turner and getting a 23 year old puzzle solved by Martin Barre.
And I am sure that no one has missed the fact that Genesis have reunited in the famous Banks/Collins/Rutherford lineup. Chester Thompson is part of the touring band and here at RIF we're busy redesigning Chester's website for the event.
